IntroBot — Privacy Policy

1. What Data We Collect

IntroBot collects and stores the following data:

• Discord User ID — to associate your intro with your account.
• Discord Server (Guild) ID — to keep intros separate per server.
• Uploaded audio files — stored on the bot's server to play as your intro.
• TTS phrases — the text and language code you provide for text-to-speech intros.

2. What Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect usernames, email addresses, or messages.
• We do not record or store voice channel audio.
• We do not track your activity across servers.
• We do not share any data with third parties.

3. How Data Is Used

Your data is used solely to provide the intro playback service — storing your chosen intro and playing it when you join a voice channel in a server where the bot is present.

4. Third-Party Services

When using text-to-speech intros, the phrase you provide is sent to Google Translate's TTS API to generate audio. No user identification is included in that request.

5. Data Storage & Security

Data is stored in a local SQLite database and on the file system of the server hosting the bot. Reasonable measures are taken to protect it, but no system is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

• You can delete your intro at any time using /intro remove. This permanently deletes your audio file and database entry for that server.
• If the bot is removed from a server, data for that server may be retained until manually deleted.
• To request full deletion of all your data, contact the bot operator.

7. Children's Privacy

IntroBot is not intended for users under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by Discord in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated at any time. Continued use of the bot constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
